How to Generate Posts from Existing Content

This feature lets you turn existing content into ready-made posts for your community to share. Instead of writing each post from scratch, you can use the AI writing assistant to create social copy based on:

• A link: Generate posts from content on an existing webpage.
• Pasted text: Copy and paste the content you want the posts to be based on.

You can then edit the generated copy, create additional variations, and tailor posts for different social networks.

How to create posts from a link: 

Open the Post Creator in your toolkit.

Click Generate from Content next to + New Post.

Select Use a Link.

Paste the URL of the webpage you want the posts to be based on, then click Next.

Note: Generating content uses AI credits. The number of credits available depends on your subscription. You'll see your remaining credits before generating the posts.

Choose the social network you want the AI writing assistant to create content for. You can add additional variations later.

The AI writing assistant will generate several versions of the post tailored to the chosen social network. From here, you can review and edit the generated posts.

How to edit generated posts:

Click the edit icon next to each element to change:

• Post text
• Image
• Link caption

You can edit the link separately using the edit option above the Save and Publish button.

Hover over Rewrite to make improvements to the posts with these options:

Tone: Choose the tone you'd like the writing assistant to use based on the emojis. 

Language: Translate the post into another language.

Who's sharing: Tell the writing assistant whose perspective the post should be written from. You can choose the perspective of your organization as an entity, an individual participating in your activities, or a community member connected to your work.

Rewrite: Generate another version of the post using the same settings.

To remove a generated version, click the trash icon.

Add social networks to a post:

Click the social network icons below a post to make that same variation available for additional networks. Use this when you want the same copy to be available across multiple social networks.

If you want different copy tailored to another network, select Add Variation instead.

Add another version of the original post:

Click Add Variation in the bottom-right corner to create another version of the post. For example, you might create a shorter caption for Instagram and a more personal message for WhatsApp or Messages.

Choose the social network, and the writing assistant will generate new posts that you can edit using the same options above.

Continue adding variations until you've prepared content for all the social networks you'd like your community to share to.

Change the destination link: 

The link included in the new posts does not have to be the same URL you used to generate the content. You can replace the destination link or remove it entirely.

If you're promoting an upcoming conference, you might use the event homepage as the source content but change the link in the final post to the registration page so people who click can sign up directly.

Once you're satisfied with your posts, save and publish your changes.

How to create posts from original text:

You can also create posts from existing text, such as a press release, article, or email, instead of using a link.

Open the Post Creator in your toolkit.

Click Generate from Content next to + New Post.

Select Paste Text.

Copy and paste the content you want the writing assistant to turn into posts.

Add any images you'd like to include in the generated posts. Click Next.

Choose the social network you want to generate content for.

The writing assistant will create several post variations based on the text you provided.

From there, follow the same steps above to edit the posts, generate rewrites, add social networks, and create additional variations.

Once you've prepared all your posts, save and publish your changes.
